The machine suggests, you decide

Tags on one shot, or on a whole folder at once. The model runs on your machine: no image leaves it, and nothing is analysed unless you ask.

  • One shot or a whole folder — start it, go do something else, come back.
  • What you correct is final — a tag edited by hand is never overwritten by a re-run.
  • Searchable at once — suggested tags join the search, like the ones you write yourself.
  • Nothing is sent — no account, no API key, no bill by the minute.
A suggestion stays a suggestion: nothing is applied without you. That is the only way to use a model without handing it what you would rather keep.

What is said, with timecode

Every line stamped and clickable: one click lands on the frame. Here too, the model runs on your machine.

  • Fix it in one click — the text edits in place, and what you corrected is marked: a re-run will not wipe it.
  • Nudge a line onto the playhead when the machine heard it too early.
  • Export .srt or .txt, written next to the rush under its name — a video player then loads it on its own.
  • Search a sentence across the whole library, not just one shot.
Finding the take where someone says one precise line used to cost an afternoon. This is the kind of work a machine does better than we do, and that we proofread in two minutes.
What Dailio does

A library that belongs to you, and collaboration that actually works.

No cloud subscription, no uploading your rushes, no dependence on someone else's server. Dailio runs entirely on your machine (Mac or Windows), and connects directly to the machine of the person you work with.

Local library

Scan your folders, generate playback proxies, organise your files into virtual folders — everything stays on your disk, uploaded at no point.

Encrypted collaboration

A direct link to a client's or a colleague's computer, protected end to end — even the server that introduces you cannot read a thing.

Live streaming

Scrub through an edit in front of your client in real time — play, pause and seek stay in sync. They need the file in their library already: only the playhead travels, never the video itself.

Tags & comments

Annotate one specific shot, add a tag to sort by — everything syncs instantly with the linked person, on the same file.

File exchange

A file your client doesn't have yet? They ask, you approve, and it goes straight from one machine to the other — never through a server in between.

End-to-end encrypted

The two applications exchange a key nobody else knows — not even the infrastructure that introduces them.

Multiple selection

A mouse rectangle to pick several files at once, like on the desktop — then drag and drop onto a virtual folder to file them all in one go.

Exportable markers

A cue placed on a shot exports straight into the editing software already used downstream — EDL, ALE, MIDI — with nothing retyped.

Wider format support

Thirteen more video and audio formats recognised, from on-set rushes to broadcast exports — WMV, AC3, MTS, Dolby TrueHD and more.

Colour and grading

Recognises the colour space of your rushes — S-Log3, LogC3 and LogC4, V-Log — applies the manufacturer LUT and then your look, and displays in Rec.709, sRGB, DCI-P3 or projection P3. Three colour wheels and the scopes to grade on top, on the log as the ASC standard requires, with .cc, .ccc and .cdl export. Set per file or on a whole folder.

Take approval

Your client marks every take good or set aside from their own application. The verdict and its date come back to you, read-only — nobody can rewrite an opinion they never gave, and a take nobody has seen does not look like a take that was rejected.

Deliverables

Transcode queues that run while you carry on working, with your own bitrate and resolution settings — grade baked in included, computed from the source file and never from the proxy. A power cut erases nothing: on restart, the application tells you what was interrupted and waits for your go-ahead to resume.

Ingest & integrity

Every copy verified, not just copied.

On ingest, Dailio generates an ASC-MHL checksum for every file copied from a memory card — the industry standard for proving that a file landing on the disk is identical, bit for bit, to the original shot on set.

  • Catches a corrupted or incomplete copy immediately
  • ASC-MHL history compatible with the tools already used in post (Pomfort and others)
  • Proof of integrity kept with the project, not just a silent copy

A structure of your own, independent of your real folders.

Virtual folders gather files from anywhere on your disk — by reel, by shooting day, by sequence — without ever duplicating a single file. They are also exactly what you choose to make visible to a linked person: whatever goes into a virtual folder becomes what they can see, comment on, or ask to download.

A real waveform, and a level meter that goes all the way.

The player now shows the file's real waveform, navigable by click and drag. The level meter follows broadcast standards — and can solo any channel of a 5.1 or multitrack file, even on a plain stereo output.

A DPX sequence automatically produces a native ProRes 422 HQ — the real working format for editing and grading, downloadable in one click — and a light H.264 preview derived from it for smooth playback inside Dailio.

  • The DPX frames are never read twice: the H.264 derives from the ProRes already made
